Exposure on a night out

Feeling a bit unwell after a night out.

My significant other said :

“It wouldn’t surprise me if we caught something from the other night.

We don’t get much exposure these days.”

“Ah, The diseased populus,” I said, “The pox populi.”

It did leave me wondering what century I was born in.

VOX POPS and POP SOCKS

Vox populi, vox Dei is the full phrase, meaning the voice of the people is the voice of God.

Everyday on any news channel a reporter tries to give credence to his biased report by finding enough people to say something that would fit into the report that he had already written.

This is a vox pop, an attempt to give an air of veracity to the media report.

The rule is – when watching a vox pop – you assume every who appears is an idiot.

If you are on a vox pop – Apply common sense rule  458 : ‘the exception proves the rule.’
