“If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again. Then quit. No use being a damn fool about it.’ — W.C. Fields
The definition of insanity, according to Einstein, is doing the same thing and expecting different results,so I wanted to test this fully.
I lived my life for many years in a ridiculous yet consistent way.
I tried, tried and tried again and eschewed the learning process.
In hindsight I like to think I was doing an experiment to prove Einsteins saying.
I had consistent results so I concluded his saying must be true.
The real truth of it I was just pretty thick about the whole thing.
As they say in France,
Beaucoup de mains font la lumière lorsque vous gâtez le bouillon
Many hands make light when you’re spoiling the broth.
So let that be a lesson to you all.
And an entry for one liner wednesday for you to have a look at.
I could now ask you for any silly things you may have done. I realise that is inconceivable for any of my readers to have ever done anything remotely silly.
Sometimes, it’s OK to quit.

Ok. I’ll do it. But if I quit wrong it’s your fault.

You, silly, over and over again? Yup, can believe it. (You making the same mistake over and over again? Nah, don’t believe it. )
Me being silly? Yup, I’m reading this aren’t I?

There’s no benefit to getting things right, you don’t learn anything

If you don’t have time to do it right, you’ll find the time to do it twice.

Even such is time which takes in trust, our youth our joys, our all we have. And pays us back in ages and dust. Now I’m to do it twice?

Some of us grow older but not up. If someone has found a way to turn back time, I wish he/she would share.

I have a friend who keeps getting me to try kale chips.
I hate kale chips.
And yet, when she offers? I try the kale chips.
I really hate kale chips.
Einstein would be proud.

I failed to understand this post.
I’ve read it 17 times now.
I’ve read it 32 times now.
I’ve read it 117 times now.
I’m tired.
Can I go to bed?
I love Einstein.
What’s love got to do with it? He said that you know!

You can go to bed but make a note of what you need to do tomorrow…

Really? All I have to do to become a blonker is to comment here? Consider it done!

Oh, my gosh…I do SO many silly things. I actually have a tag on my blog called “I’m Ridiculous”. One of my favorites (that I haven’t blogged about), was that I once totally rearranged my kitchen to make everything easier to get to (I’m only 5’1″). When I was finished, there was nothing on the top shelves, and I had some items scattered around the house (like a pasta maker in the bedroom closet, for example). I proudly showed my new system to my mom, and two days later she showed up with a lightweight folding step stool.
Talk about feeling like an idiot. Lol.

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. I’ve told people that a million times and they all ignore me each time…

But for computers ‘have you tried switching it off and turning it on again’ seems to work. Which is doing the same thing
